Canon Patent Application: Curved Sensor ultra fast primes

In this patent, Canon has applied for a patent on several outstanding primes used with curved sensors.

Curved sensors have the advantage of reducing the complexity of the lens, because the rays of light travel the same distance, regardless of position on the sensor.  This makes the lens much more simple to design.  Of course, the counter to that is that they are much more difficult to support for interchangeable lenses as each lens could conceivably need a different radius on the curved sensor.  So if we're to see a curved sensor camera, expect at first, a small full-frame compact camera with a prime lens. But with that in mind, one problem with all these designs is the relative size of the lenses, they are by no means small. I can't see them on a compact camera like the Sony RX1 for instance.

However, it's curious that on this patent, we see many different primes including a stunning trio: 35, 50 and 85mm F1.0's would indicate a specialized compact full-frame ILC specifically for these lenses.  Would this be a "shut up and take my money" moment? pretty much yes for me and a lot of people I would imagine.
