While this may not be talked about in new tilt-shift lenses or only implemented in new lenses, it may be quietly implemented even in existing lenses, as Canon has done so in the past. The patent application is pretty complicated with alot of pictures of the complex nature of tilt shift lenses and their mechanisms.
