Richard CanonNews / Tuesday, August 11, 2020 / Categories: Rumors, Canon Mirrorless Canon RF 70-200mm F4.0L IS USM appears in certification The one Canon trinity of lenses I am looking forward to appearing for the EOS R system is the F4L IS USM's featuring ultra-wide, standard, and telephoto zoom lenses. We have the 24-105 and have yet to see any other lenses, we had rumors that the RF 70-200mm F4.0L IS USM is coming, and this is our first confirmation. Can I start to pray for the ultra-wide now? Nokishita reports that Canon has registered the RF 70-200mm F4L IS USM on a Russian certification authority, called SKU "4318C005". While this sounds great, I'm not sure where they are getting that from the image - since it seems to be the RF 85mm F1.2L USM DS lens, even when run through a russian to english translator. I think Nokishita will be updating this. Shown for illustration is the Canon EF 70-200mm F4L IS USM II. Here is the Nokishita certification, however, don't be surprised if this image changes.
