A new rumor from CanonRumors suggests that a big step forward for the Canon Speedlite 600EX-RT, now at a mark II level is coming. We were the first to discover this high-performance Speedlite with both flash and continuous lighting and it makes sense for the flagship Speedlite from Canon to have both methods of lighting and the ability to stay cool. Patent Application here I guess we'll wait and see if this is the patent application for the new flash, but it certainly appears that Canon was looking into hybrid flashes - to handle both stills and video shooting for the professionals that have to switch seamlessly between stills and video. The rumor goes on to say that it's been delayed along with the R5 and R6 announcements, but it should be expected to launch alongside one of those cameras.
