Richard CanonNews / Friday, January 26, 2018 / Categories: Reviews, Third Party Reviews PhotographyBlog: 16 things we learned when using the new TS-E 50,90 and 135mm lenses PhotographyBlog released an article today on tips and tricks for the new tilt shift lenses. It's a good primer on what to expect if you never used tilt shift lenses before and are curious to try one or more of the new trinity of tilt and shift. This is based upon their recent reviews of the 50, 90 and 135mm Macro tilt-shift lenses that Canon recently released. I personally like their point 16 which probably also illustrates the dangers of testing lenses in general; The biggest thing I learned after spending a few weeks with these beauties is that, actually, I really want one. I’d never really given them much thought before, assuming they were niche products that I couldn’t really afford and didn’t have much use for. It’s still true that they're out of my price range for now, but I now see that I could use them for so many different shoots. Food and portraits are two of my favourite subjects, and I could see me getting a lot of use out of, in particular the 50mm or the 90mm lens. I better start saving now… If you are interested in the TS-E's please use one of our vendors below: TS-E 50mm 2.8L Macro: Aperture Range: f/2.8 to f/32 Two Ultra-Low Dispersion Elements One Aspherical Element Air Sphere and Subwavelength Coatings Maximum Tilt: +/- 8.5° Maximum Shift: +/- 12mm Minimum Focusing Distance: 10.6" Maximum Magnification: 0.5x Amazon Canon USA BHPhotoVideo Adorama TS-E 90mm 2.8L Macro: Aperture Range: f/2.8-32 Gaussian Optics Maximum Tilt: +/- 8º Maximum Shift: +/- 11mm Tilt & Shift Singly or In Combination Mount Rotation: 90º Left and Right Minimum Focus Distance: 19.2" 58mm Filter Thread Diameter Amazon Canon USA BHPhotoVideo Adorama TS-E 135mm 4.0L Macro: Aperture Range: f/4 to f/45 Two Ultra-Low Dispersion Elements Subwavelength Coating Maximum Tilt: +/- 10° Maximum Shift: +/- 12mm Minimum Focusing Distance: 1.6' Maximum Magnification: 0.5x Amazon Canon USA BHPhotoVideo Adorama Previous Article Canon Rumors: A new style of camera being tested?
