Richard CanonNews / Monday, November 2, 2020 / Categories: Rumors, Canon Lenses The prices for the new RF Nifty-Fifty and "beer can" 70-200mm F4L IS USM have leaked The US domestic prices of the upcoming Canon RF 50mm F1.8 STM and the Canon RF 70-200mm F4L IS USM have leaked. The price of the 50mm is a pleasant surprise, coming in at a price of $199. This is going to be a great seller, similar to the Canon EF 50mm F1.8 STM. It may not be the best optic out there, but for $199, you really won't be able to go wrong with it. The price of the Canon RF 70-200 F4L IS USM, is much higher as would be expected, at $1599, this is a bit of a sticker shock over the Canon EF 70-200mm F4L which was released at $1299. To be fair, the Sony FE 70-200mm F4 was announced at $1500, so the mirrorless ballpark seems to the there. But it is a bit more pricey than expected. We expect a release shortly. Either tonight or the next few days.
