This would stand to reason as it's nearly 9 years since it's release (I can't believe it's been almost 9 years) We haven't' seen any specific TS-E related patents with respect to the optical formula however we have spotted several mechanical and electronic patents including IS and AF on TS-E lenses. Could the next TS-E's starting with the 17 and the 24 get AF and IS? CR notes; We’ve now heard from multiple people that an update to the Canon TS-E 17mm f/4L tilt-shift lens is likely coming some time in the next year.
