This "appears" like it's a Canon L lens, even with a signature red strip around the lens. However, it is not. It's not a clone of the 14mm 2.8 L original nor the 14mm 2.8 L II - so it's a wild guess to how good this lens will be. Odds are it's much cheaper than the $2100 Canon 14mm IS USM, however, the price at this time is unknown. Going by the MTF is a good starting point: Canon 14mm 2.8L II YONGNUO 14mm 2.8 It appears if Yongnuo can match the MTF's that it will have a greater resolving power around the center of the image, and tails off more to the edges than the Canon 14mm II. It remains to be seen how Yongnuo's quality control will be with this lens. Pricing and availablity has not been announced.
