dpreview publishes G1X Mark III sample gallery

The newly released G1X Mark III gets a sample gallery at dpreview.

The images are 90% JPEG (the usual for Canon camera previews before actual release), shots look pretty good!

Keep in mind while critically viewing these images is that usually "default" JPEG options are chosen in camera, meaning they will appear softer and with perhaps more NR than you'd configure your camera normally.

Fine picture detail profile does alot to extract fine image detail using JPEG's, as by default, Canon doesn't add alot of sharpening to JPEG's.

At a glance;

  • 24.2MP APS-C CMOS Sensor
  • DIGIC 7 Image Processor
  • 3x Zoom Lens, 24-72mm (35mm Equivalent)
  • Built-In Electronic Viewfinder
  • 3.0" Vari-Angle Touchscreen LCD
  • Full HD 1080p Video Recording at 60 fps
  • Dual Pixel CMOS AF, Image Stabilizer
  • ISO 25600, 9 fps Continuous Shooting
  • Built-In Wi-Fi with NFC, Bluetooth
  • Dust- and Water-Resistant Construction
