New Rumor: Canon EOS-1DX Mark III has begun field testing A new rumor has surfaced that the 1DX Mark III has started field testing with select photographers and engineers. Since this camera will most likely not be released until the first few months of 2020, this is most likely preliminary testing from Canon. 2020 is an Olympic year and Canon (as well as Nikon) usually have their best cameras ready for these events. Even more importantly for Canon is the fact that the 2020 Olympic games are being held at Tokyo Japan, and Canon, as always will have a huge presence for the games. The competition will be fierce on the sidelines for these games as you can start to see other vendors ready "professional" and "sports" model cameras such as the Olympus E-M1X sports camera released last month with the focus of being ready for the 2020 Olympic games.
