New Rumor: Canon will announce 2 affordable lenses with the Canon RF 14-35mm F4L CanonRumors is reporting that Canon will announce two lenses aside from the Canon RF 14-35mm F4L. The first is a lens that has appeared on the 2021 roadmap and should be an excellent addition to the Canon RF library. The Canon RF 70-400mm is likely to be essentially the RF replacement for the Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS II USM consumer lens, most likely featuring nano-USM. On the roadmap, a Canon RF 100-400 f/5.6-7.1 IS USM was present. The Canon RF 16mm F2.8 sounds like a lens that we were just talking about today on Twitter, which is a pancake prime for the RF mount. The 16mm focal length fits in with pancake designs which suggests that the focal length is around the back focus distance, which is the distance between the sensor and the lens mount. That is 20mm on the RF mount. However, the lens lenses can sit inside the mount, easily decreasing that distance to 16mm.
