 First of all, I think there's more to this than just Canon wishing to reduce the EF lineup down to what is absolutely necessary.  The combination of Canon wanting people to move to the RF lineup, and also the significant difficulty in manufacturing because of supply chain issues have caused any plans to be accelerated.

 According to Tokina;

 Designed for Full Frame DSLR cameras, the Tokina atx-i 17-35mm F4 FF give photographers a new wide-angle option that covers the majority of landscape scenes. With a focal length of 17mm at the wide side the lens yields a spectacular 103.9 degree field of view which is great for shooting landscapes, street snap, architecture, time-lapse.

 According to DCWatch , Canon has announced the delay on April 10, in which Canon officially postponed the release of the newest Canon Rebel.

 I suspect that many of Canon's 2020 products will be announced on time, but deliveries of the products could very well stretch into 2021 depending on the supply chains.

 This should fix the OVF freezing problem that some people were reporting.

 You can download it from Canon UK here . I presume that Canon USA will have the download shortly.
