Canon 1DX Mark III - what else does Canon have in store for us?

The Canon 1DX Mark III may just be Canon's crowning and last 1 series DSLR.  It's understandable then to think that Canon may just put everything possible into that camera, and not hold back, knowing that the 1 series RF camera will have a far more advanced AF system, and shooting speeds that the 1DX Mark III could never sustain.

A new rumor from Canon Rumors states that there are two features that Canon has not divulged to the public that will make it into the final camera, they also said that they were actively testing 5.9K external recording, and also that the sensor seems to be 20.1MP.

Now the two rumors come from two different sources because a 5.9K video output can't occur unless you have at least a 24MP sensor size.

Now from this, we can see that nothing really new is known, and it could very well be that Canon has made more than one camera and brought it close to the production level, waiting to see what Nikon is rolling out with the D6 competing camera.  Canon already knows what Sony is doing for the Olympus, Nikon is the only unknown.

That may explain why there seems to be more than one camera at times mentioned in these rumors.
