Canon Patent Application: Canon RF 12mm F2.8 and 14mm F2.8 There was a patent application published today with some interesting super ultra wide lenses that I'm sure a lot of people would love to see developed. They aren't exactly fast enough for the astro-landscape crowd, but they are most likely cheaper and easier to carry around and obtain than esoteric F1.8 or F2.0's. Sooner or later Canon will start to fill out it's lens lineup with lenses like this, as the Canon EF system certainly had a 14mm prime and a 20mm prime.
