Canon Patent Application: Expansion accessory for Canon's small cameras Canon applied for this patent, and Northlight caught it. Basically it describes a USB attached accessory that allows for expansion of a small camera to support EVF, flash and a few other addons that aren't necessarily supported by the camera body by default. This could be used on the powershot G series or also the smaller M100 styled cameras to augment support of features that the camera(s) do not by default support.
