More information on the EOS RP Leading credence to the rumor of yesterday of a small light full frame camera is the latest information that the battery will be the LP-E17, the same as what is in Canon's rebels and also M5/M6 camera bodies. This should indicate that this camera is much smaller than the EOS R, and quite possibly closer in size to the M5 and M50 with the larger mount of the Canon EOS RF system, versus the EOS-M mount. While this will be an entry-level camera, it may be ideally suited for backpacking and travel where size and weight is the utmost importance.
