New information on the RF mount and Image Update

Nokishita has found out more information about the mount adapter, and it helps to clarify the RF mount.

The RF mount is NOT the EF mount and EF lenses will not be able to attach to it unless you use the adapter.  But the adapter is not just your ordinary adapter, it has, according to Nokishita three different types of control rings and a drop in filter holder.

Just to re-ititerate, this is what Canon is releasing monday or tuesday night next week. It's a full slate of products;

  • EOS R body
  • EOS R 24105 kit
  • RF 35 mm F 1.8 Macro IS STM
  • RF 50 mm F 1.2 L USM
  • RF 28 - 70 mm F 2 L USM
  • RF 24 - 105 mm F 4 L IS USM
  • EF-M 32 mm F 1.4 STM
  • EF 400 mm F 2.8 L IS III USM
  • EF 600 mm F 4 L IS III USM
