New Rumor: Canon RF Cinema camera coming soon Once Canon released the RF mount, it was only a matter of time before there was RF mount Cinema cameras. This allows the cinema cameras to take advantage of the new RF lenses but also gives them better adaptability than what the EF mount can provide. For instance, even though the EF mount on newer cinema cameras is replaceable so you can use the PL mount, etc - it's a process to physically replace the mount. However, with the RF mount, all it becomes is an adapter and essentially painless to use various cinema lenses. CanonRumors has released the first specifications of an upcoming CINI camera. What strikes me as interesting is that there's a notation that it's smaller than a 1DX Mark III - that seems to indicate to me that this may be more like an ILC, than a Cinema camera in terms of shape, ergonomics and size - more like an A7S equivalent. One disappointment is that it will use an S35 sized sensor which is around a 1.5x crop factor. The specifications; Same Super35 sensor as the Canon Cinema EOS C200 Internal ND filters (mechanical) up to 6 stops 2x Mini XLR inputs Full-size HDMI 4K 4:2:2 10bit in ALL-I and IPB up to 120p 1x CFexpress Type B Slot 2x SD UHS-II slots External RAW recording options up to 4K 120P 2x LP-E6NH batteries Camera size smaller than the EOS-1D X Mark III Price: $4499 USD More links CanonRumors Richard CanonNewsRichard CanonNews Richard has been using Canon cameras since the 1990s, with his first being the now legendary EOS-3.
