New Rumor: New 50mm lens being tested A new rumor has surfaced that a new 50mm lens is being test out in the field, there is no other details being suggested at this time. We hope we see an updated 50mm soon. Outside of a refresh of the 50mm 1.8, we haven't seen Canon update any of it's 50mm lenses in way too many years. CR reports; We’re told that a new 50mm lens is currently being tested by a small number of select photographers. What we weren’t told was the speed of the lens or if it was an “L” lens or not.
