Additional image of the Canon EOS RP showing the EG-E1 grip (UPDATED) An additional image has surfaced showing the EG-E1 grip added to the EOS RP. Interestingly, it seems that there will be different colors of the grip, red and blue depending on the country in which you purchase the grip. The EG-E1 makes it so more of your hand will wrap around the camera grip, a common problem on smaller cameras is having two or three fingers that are under the camera because it's small. This wil make it easier to handle larger RF lenses on the EOS RP. Some sites are reporting that this is a battery grip. It's not. We are expecting the announcement of the EOS RP around midnight eastern standard time, February 13th. The official announcement will occur Japan time on the 14th. UPDATE: We added images of the red and blue colored grips Richard CanonNewsRichard CanonNews Richard has been using Canon cameras since the 1990s, with his first being the now legendary EOS-3.
