Canon Rumors, posts a new rumor detailing roughly that a new Cini Camera is coming out for NAB 2018. This of course, makes so much more sense than the ever prevailing, this DSLR is coming out for NAB that seems to be rolling around the Internet. If we look at the release dates for the various CINI Cameras now out; C100 Mark II - 2014 C200 - 2017 C300 Mark II - 2015 C500 - 2012 C700 - 2016 The logical bet would be an upgrade to the 2012 version of the C500. Canon Rumors suggests; We’ve confirmed that at least one Cinema EOS camera will be announced ahead of NAB 2018 in April in Las Vegas. We previously reported that a 6K camera was coming in 2018, and wondered if it would be called the C900. We can confirm that it will not be called the C900 and will be an update to a current camera. If we had to guess, we’re probably going to finally see the Cinema EOS C500 Mark II. We can’t imagine the C700 getting a new version this soon after launch, and we know that the C300 Mark II will remain current through 2018. Stay tuned as NAB approaches this year.
