Canon Patent Application: Canon RF 24-70 2.8, 28-85 2.0-2.8

While it's not newsworthy that Canon will come out with an Canon RF 24-70 2.8L IS USM this year, the patent applications that may be used for this lens are still rather interesting as it shows us the possible size, and also complexity of this lens.

While we don't know exactly what patent applications Canon will use, usually it's a combination of them.  For example, I can't count how many patent applications we've seen for the RF 24-105 lens design.

This patent application also has another lens, a 28-85 2.0-2.8 lens, which would certainly be a novel lens if it was ever produced.
