Early posting of the specifications of the G5X Mark II
An enterprising store who also made a mistake posting the Canon RF 24-240mm, posted the page for the Canon G5X Mark II.
As we suspected, the Canon G5X Mark II uses a stacked sensor, most likely of Sony manufacturer. As Nokshita also clarifies and that we suggested here a few days ago, the 30 fps RAW mode seems to be a burst "buffered" mode using the stacked sensor.
Incredibly though, it manages a full 20fps RAW with AF off. That gives us a possible top end speed to DIGIC 8, which certainly exceeds that of the EOS R and other DIGIC 8 cameras.
The price of the G5X Mark II was £849. We are expecting official announcement in the coming couple of days.
