RIP Chuck Westfall: One of the photography legends has passed away

Chuck Westfall passed away today after a 7 year fight with kidney cancer.

I have never personally met Chuck, but have exchanged a few emails with him and found him to be an exceptionally open and excellent person to talk to.

He joined Canon in 1982 and spearheaded the early development of Canon's early DSLR's and grew to the rank of Technical Advisor.

He was always available to talk about Canon cameras and their technology and was simply just a great human being.

There's an article with more information on PetaPixel.

RIP Chuck, you will be missed by all of us.  We wish his family and friends condolences for their huge loss.

Photo taken by Nancy Winnings, his sister.
