Richard CanonNews / Thursday, January 30, 2020 / Categories: Rumors, Canon Mirrorless New Rumor: Canon RF 100-500 on it's way The rumors are coming in fast and furious as we'd expect with a possible announcement in a little over two weeks from now. Canon is set to launch the EOS R5, and what appears to maybe be, two more Canon RF lenses. It's also unknown if they will do like last year and preannounce the year's worth of lenses. Given the fact that all their competition have issued roadmaps, I would expect Canon to announce the development of the rest of 2020's lenses for the RF mount as well. The new rumor from CanonRumors has a possible release of a Canon RF 100-500. No word on the aperture, whether it's an L. However, if I had to guess I'd say it's 4-5.6 and certainly an L. This sounds like a better version of the Canon EF 100-400 (that we showed above) designed for the RF mount. More to come..
