Richard CanonNews / Monday, June 1, 2020 / Categories: Rumors New Rumor: Canon RF 100mm F2.0 Macro According to CanonRumors, Canon is working hard on a Canon RF 100mm F2.0 Macro lens. This, of course, is a totally necessary lens for the RF mount. The original EF 100mm F2.8 macro came out in 1990, as one of the original lenses for EF mount. It's hard not to see Canon following the same pattern with the RF mount. That all being said, lens development happens at its own pace and is considerably longer than a camera and other accessory development. It would be curious to know if Canon's automated lens assembly systems speed up the release, or delay the release of new lenses. The rumor source states that the lens in the hand of select photographers (sadly, not me).
