Canon continues to improve its line of ultra-fast prime lenses, designed for its flagship cameras, with the RF 35mm f/1.2L and RF 24mm f/1.2L lenses. A patent filing indicates that these lenses have been designed with improved optical designs, two focus groups, minimal focus breathing, and compact designs suitable for full-frame cameras.

Canon EOS R50 is revealed as the bestselling mirrorless camera of the year 2025 in Japan, based on the sales data from BCN+R. The compact APS-C camera leads the competition for its affordable and professional features, effectively replacing the successful M50 line of cameras. Although the company is on top of the list, the leader is actually Sony, which has four models of mirrorless cameras on the Top 10 list, including the ZV-E10 II and the A7C II.
