These five lenses will form the core 2.8L primes for the RF mount. As leaked by Nokishita, Canon is expected to announce the; RF 15-35mm 2.8L IS USM (CN: This looks to be a lovely lens, and includes the use of front filters) RF 24-70 2.8L IS USM RF 70-200 2.8L IS USM RF 85mm 1.2L USM This effectively rounds out the professional 2.8L and portrait lenses sans perhaps a 135mm 2.0L. After this the RF mount will have a very credible 28-70 2.0, 50 1.2, 85 1.2, 15-35 2.8, 24-70 2.8 and 70-200 2.8 series of lenses that handle the vast majority of professional needs outside of primes and super telephotos. Also Canon will announce the; RF 24-240 4-6.3 IS USM We could see the 24-240mm be the new consumer kit zoom to start off with, but we do hope that Canon makes a less aggressive comsumor zoom for the RF mount as 10x zooms are usually optically compromised. The EOS Entry level rumor also suggests that there may be up to three more lenses released with this. Update: A new image of the RF 70-200 2.8L IS USM has surfaced. Clearly this is much smaller than the EF 70-200 2.8L IS USM II or III. Most probable that the lens barrel extends and that that form factor is similar to the 70-300L.
