Canon teases "V" and two cameras released on March 26th

Well, it's official now that Canon is releasing two cameras on the 26th.  However, what's curious is the shape of the two cameras. One camera (I believe on the left) is the PowerShot V1, and that's no surprise.  The other one on the right is the more curious one.

When I saw the " V, " the first thing I thought of was the television series from the early 1980s. Yes, I know I'm dating myself.

What is the Second Camera?

This photo is from MirrorlessRumors, showing the EOS-RV as a white camera.  Presumably, Canon will have this camera in both white and black.

Extracted from the Canon teaser, the camera on the right appears the same.

Going by the shape of the Canon EOS RV that has already leaked, it appears to have the same rounded corners and slight protrusion of the hot shoe.  The shutter button and zoom lever also appear to be on the silhouette.

Is the R50 V and the EOS-RV the same camera?

Canon may use two names for the same camera. In the past, Canon used up to three different names for the same camera, depending on the region of sale. We could have seen the same type of confusion here, with the R50V and the EOS-RV being the same camera.

Conclusion

Canon could do something crazy, like create two cameras using the same camera body and different features. Outside of Canon trolling us hard, I think it's safe to assume we will get the EOS-RV on the 26th with the PowerShot V1.
