New Rumor: Canon RF 35mm F1.2 will be announced this year There's probably no shock out there that Canon will complete its F1.2 prime trinity with the release of a Canon RF 35mm F1.2L USM. We saw a patent application that is possibly this lens a few months ago and the patent was most certainly made for the RF mount as the back focus was very close to 20mm. The patent application wasn't for a small light lens, as the lens would be around 130mm in size and contains quite a few elements. Do not expect this to be a bargain lens, but a brilliant one.
