Canon Patent Application: Canon RF 100mm F2.8 Macro
The Canon EF 100mm F2.8 was a standard go-to macro lens, and even for portraiture for many photographers.
Canon clearly is going to come out with a full 1:1 Macro for the RF mount, it's simply a matter of time. This patent application shows such a lens. It certainly does not try to simplify the optical formula as the patent application details a fairly complicated element design.
A lot of the embodiments have far too short of a back focus distance to be actually practical, but there are a few that are far more likely to be used for the RF mount.
