Canon Patent Applicaton: RF Macro Lenses
In this patent application, Canon describes a series of macro lenses of fairly long focal lengths. Some of the lenses would double as a prime and also a .5x macro which would be certainly useful, especially with a higher megapixel camera where you have more freedom to crop.
This patent application according to canon has the goals of;
To provide an optical system capable of expanding a close range in a small size while suppressing the number of focus groups, and an image pickup apparatus having the same.
