Canon Patent Application: Improving the reliability of Tilt-Shift lenses Canon has applied for a patent application discussing methods of manufacturing for improved adhesion of the elements in an adjustable frame found in tilt shift lenses. While this may not be talked about in new tilt-shift lenses or only implemented in new lenses, it may be quietly implemented even in existing lenses, as Canon has done so in the past. The patent application is pretty complicated with alot of pictures of the complex nature of tilt shift lenses and their mechanisms.
