Canon RF 15-35mm and RF 24-70 MTF's compared Canon's new RF lenses come at a healthy price, and anticipated excellent performance, but how well do they stack up against their EF cousins? Here we compare the RF 15-35 F2.8 IS USM against the EF 16-35mm F2.8L III USM The RF 15-35 looks very comparable to the EF version, and also consider it's 1mm wider on the UWA end which is a big thing, and also includes IS. For the RF 24-70 2.8L IS USM, we compare against one of the best zoom lenses Canon has ever made, the EF 24-70 2.8L II USM. While raw resolution may not be that much different in between the lenses, the MTF's seem to indicate that the bokeh quality will be better for the EF version over the RF version, especially at the wide end, at the telephoto end the bokeh should be more or less comparable with the edge going to the EF version. Again, the RF version has IS, while the EF version does not. Richard CanonNewsRichard CanonNews Richard has been using Canon cameras since the 1990s, with his first being the now legendary EOS-3.
