Benro MeFoto GlobeTrotter Aluminum Travel Tripod Kit (Titanium)

The Benro MeFoto GlobeTrotter Aluminum Travel Tripod Kit (Titanium Finish) is one of the best deals you will find at B&H Photo Video with a very low price of $89.95 down from the list price of $264.95. This generous price (a greater than 66% savings) asks all what can be offered at an entry-level price point, but with useful travel support system features. Photographers and hybrid creator's alike have the choice of investing in a unique and useful tripod for the price of most entry-level ball heads.

The tripod's value comes from its complete and portable design. The tripod is constructed from aluminum alloy and uses a reverse-folding leg design that reduces down to a very small folded length of around 17.3 inches (44 cm). This sturdy folding leg design allows for the ball head to sit between the leg sections and makes it quick to pack into a camera backpack or carry-on luggage for travel which is the idea behind the product title. The tripod leg is a five-section leg supported by twist locks to hold maximum working height of around 64.2 inches (163 cm).

Beyond its core travelability, the GlobeTrotter offers superb versatility. The ability to turn into a full-size monopod is crucial, and one of the best features is being able to detach one of the tripod legs and attach it to the center column. This is important for fast-paced situations like event coverage or wildlife that requires mobility and speed. The ball head included, likely a model from MeFoto's Q-series, offers exceptional load capabilities, usually rated for approximately 17.6 lb (8 kg). This high load capacity should handle all of your DSLRs or mirrorless bodies (such as the Canon C50 or Nikon ZR) and large telephoto lenses. The GlobeTrotter sale provides great utility and professional performance for under ninety dollars with its Arca-type quick release plates and independent pan lock for smooth panning and panoramic photos.

Details

The MeFoto Globetrotter Aluminum Travel Tripod Kit from Benro is a sturdy, compact tripod that extends to 64.2", supports up to 26.4 lb, and folds down to just over 16". The GlobeTrotter is actually two camera supports in one: a foam-cushioned, removable leg attaches to the center column to convert to full size monopod.

The tripod's legs can be spread independently with two-position leg angle stops. A spring-loaded ballast hook is located at the bottom of the center column, allowing a heavy object to hang from it for additional stability.

The Q2 Triple Action Arca-type ball head features separate head and pan locks, a 360° pan index, and an integral bubble level. The included quick release plate has a 1/4"-20 camera screw and rubberized pads for added traction to prevent the camera from moving and protects the finish from marring.
