Patent Application While searching back through the US patent applications, we found this one, that at first glance was simply a 85mm 1.4L IS USM patent. Upon closer examination, there was another embodiment in which we are all quite interested in right now, since the 85mm 1.4L IS is old news ;) Seems Canon snuck in another embodiment, but this one for the 135mm 2.0L IS. So this seems like pretty good confirmation that we have a 135 2.0L IS USM in our future, and our greedy little paws sooner than later.
