Canon Patent Application: Canon RF 35mm F1.4 and RF 28mm F1.4 Last week we found the Canon RF 35mm F1.2 patent application and commented that while the 1.2's are really cool as halo products, less esoteric lenses such as F1.8 and F1.4's would certainly be nice for the masses. In this patent application, we have just that, the embodiments demonstrate an RF 35mm f1.4 lens and a 28mm F1.4. There were quite a few embodiments of 35mm F1.4 in here that I don't think would be suitable for the RF mount because the ingress into the mount is too extreme, so we'll simply focus on the two embodiments that do make sense. These lenses again are by no means small, being around 120mm to 135mm in lens length.
