Canon patent application for some DO telephotos

Canon released a patent application for some DO telephoto lenses, showing that they are continuing to work on DO technology.

The following lenses are described in this patent, which is meant to reduce the occurrence of flare when using DO elements.

  • 800 / 5.6
  • 400 2.8
  • 200 / 2.0

Of course with any patent application, Canon may or may not decide to use the application.  However lens patents carry at good indication about what Canon is looking at.
