Canon suspending sales / preorders of the R5C in Australia

In a report from CanonRumors, Canon is suspending preorders or sales of the EOS R5C in Australia.  While the usual announcements all state something like "due to increased demand" or "because of supply chain problems" and so on, this email that CanonRumors received curiously states something odd.

"I’d like to reassure you that there are no health and safety issues with the camera however, we want to ensure that the product is of the highest standard from a quality perspective."

In other words, don't worry it won't catch on fire.

We haven't seen any official Canon statement on this, but Canon Japan does have the R5C back ordered "for at least 6 months".

I suspect that Canon caught something during the initial manufacturing runs of the camera, and needed to pull things back to fix it.

I hope we can find out some further details and also that the camera isn't outlandishly delayed.
