This rumor seems like it's a few days early ;) The latest from CanonWatch is that Canon is looking at augmenting the EF-M lens line up with up to 5 lenses over the next two years. According to CanonWatch, the 52mm and 100-300mm were supposed to come out in 2020, but with COVID-19, it's anyone's guess now. While these lenses would certainly be welcomed additions to the EF-M mount; I simply can't see Canon diverging resources from the RF projects to work on EF-M at this time. Yes, the EOS-M lineup is important - but it's already serving that need without adding more lenses to it. Sad but true I know. The lenses have a more prosumer feel, so if Canon was to decide on these lenses it could be that they wish to prop up the lagging domestic sales of the M6 Mark II and perhaps a future M5 Mark II. If they came out. I'd be in the lineup to purchase, well, all 5. Which right there sets off my spidey sense - I can't ever count a time where my wishes and Canon has perfectly aligned ;) Stay tuned.
