Canon to put RAW video on the EOS R We actually had this rumor up, and then decided it was too out there and took it down. That will teach me to second guess myself. Earlier on today, Canon accidentally posted this on twitter. A little while later on in the CanonRumors confirmed that Canon was indeed putting RAW video via an Atomos Ninga V external monitor recorder into the EOS R on a future firmware update. We cannot confirm the information below with a [CR3] rating, but this all seems to be relatively realistic. External RAW recording via an Atomos Ninja V partnership will be added to the Canon EOS R. It's either all this is a big pre-April 1st joke, or this is all legit. Canon is expected to announce on April 3rd the new cameras and the EOS R firmware update.
