DPreview reviews the Canon EOS R5 Two of my favorite reviewers took the EOS R5 out and gave it a good review, shot in 286F around the surface temperature of Venus, according to Chris. (I don't think it was really that hot) Some notes; Best full frame IBIS system that Chris has seen to date. IBIS + IS does actually work with EF lenses, around 6 stops of IBIS. I think Chris wanted the beer more than low light samples Feels like the full resolution is showing up in the EVF Autofocus excellent Animal AF doesn't work with bear rugs Sensor quality excellent - comparable to its peers AA filter doesn't seem to have a sharp impact fastest scan rate of any of the high-resolution sensor cameras 8K is insanely sharp 4K 120 is excellent 4K HQ - Jordon loves 1080P, 4K lineskipped does not overheat Fighting the overheating with video No video backups Still have 29:59 record limit No C-Log 2 or 3 DPAF 2 Autofocus is excellent for video IBIS is excellent for video Rolling shutter is acceptable Jordan feels the video is more a novelty on the R5 Summary; Photographic wise they loved it, video wise, the overheating is limiting. If you need a true hybrid camera, this right now is probably not it.
