The Gitzo Legende Series 1 Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod Kit w/ Ball Head & Leather Strap is well-suited to traveling photographers that need a tripod that is not only light in weight but stable too. Its only 3.2 pounds and collapses down to 16.9 inches, making it a breeze to carry, while the carbon fiber legs feel reassuring and support as much as 17.6 lbs—optimal for mirrorless setups or up to lenses 200mm in length. The ball head of the aluminum is smooth, friction-controlled, and is fitted with an Arca-type quick-release plate, although a few would swap it with a different clamp. The synthetic leather strap is comfortable as well, and the folding 180° design of the kit makes it very compact.

There's a small tabletop tripod and a leather backpack included too, which are wonderful bonus features. It stretches 65 inches, and the twist locks are satisfactory, but the folded length of 43cm could stick out of small bags, and there are no spiked feet for rough ground.
