Kickstarter: The Camera Battery Re-invented

I don't usually do kickstarter stuff, but this is SO cool I just had to. I file this one in the "why didn't I think of that" category.  The X-tra battery is going places.  This one is a no-brainer kickstarter.

Essentially these batteries work by popping the battery door off your camera and expanding slight the size of the battery.  The capacity gains is impressive as each one of these batteries is 3700 mAh.  Meanwhile the LP-E6NH is 2130mAh.  Just by straight math these batteries should give you a 73% increase in battery capacity before you have to swap them out.  The gain is even more if you are still using LP-E6N's as an example.

The other really neat thing is that it provides a USB power port and the battery can be charged directly.  As well, that USB power can be used to power other USB devices - making the battery act as a power bank.  You can also use these batteries as an independent power bank by using the case.

Edit:

With CanonRumors (read their full report on this here) we are now suggesting NOT to purchase this product, and give our apologies to any and all that have purchased from our website.
