More Information on the Canon RP

Some more information has come out about the Canon RP, the entry level full frame camera soon to be released on Feburary 14th by Canon.

Nokishita reports that the local domestic cameras (Japan market) will be bundled with the RF 35mm, and have a variety of kits;

  • Canon RP kit with RF 35mm 1.8
  • Canon RP kit + mount adapter
  • Canon RP kit + mount adapter + grip

It's unknown if Canon will bundle it like this in other countries, as it seems that the 24-105L will also be bundled in with the RP in other areas.

The Canon RF 35mm 1.8 is a fantastic little lens, this is sure to be an excellent kit bundle.

Meanwhile, over at Canon Rumors, it is suggested that the UK Price for the RP body and lens adapter bundle will be £1399.00, and the 24-105L kit will be £2329.00.  This matches up well for an entry level, low cost camera body in US pricing.

The RP is also expected to start shipping fast, on February 27th.
