Nikon Z50 versus the Canon M6 Mark II - a comparison Dpreview very did a detailed comparison between the M6 Mark II and the Z50. I found it interesting, and a fairly well-balanced review, with the notable exception of a few items. The Nikon Z50 does not actually have an AF joystick as mentioned in the comparison. Both cameras use the touchscreen. However, unlike the M6 Mark II, on the Nikon Z50 you cannot use the touchscreen for AF when you are using the viewfinder, you have to use the control pad. The lenses, Canon gets mocked quite a bit for its EF-M lens collection (rightly so), but if you are like me, and an ultra wide angle bigot, there really isn't any choice between these cameras. The EF-M 11-22mm is exceptional, and check out this size comparison between your ultra-wide options for both cameras... Guess which one I'm bringing in my travels?
