Popular Science: Article on Canon's broadcast camera lenses

Canon's broadcast lenses got alot of press during these olympics as NBC announced they were going to use 70+ of them for the event.

These lenses range from the high 10's of thousands of dollars to a quarter of a million dollars each.

They are hand crafted by Canon with some of their tightest controls and manufacturing techniques. They are certainly not meant for the average user ;)  Even with how good our APS-C and full frame lenses are, the video tv camera lenses are in a whole different level of performance and capabilities, and are priced to match.

It's an interesting article, perhaps a little too "dumbed down" for the readers in here, but covers some rather interesting points that I really didn't consider before.
