Production ceased for the 5DS and the 5DSR According to CanonRumors, the production of the Canon EOS 5DS and the 5DSR has stopped, and that there will be no replacement of the 5Ds or 5Dsr DSLR. There will still be 5Ds and 5Dsr cameras for sale for the time being as there is inventory, but expect this to dwindle over the coming months. Of course, Canon is wishing (and needing) for all those 5Ds and 5Dsr users to switch to the RF line and what is certainly going to be an upcoming high-resolution camera body, so expect that all the development work that was going into the 120MP replacement for the 5DS to go into mirrorless.
