Review: Canon IVY CLIQ After Canon announced the IVY CLIQ's I haven't seen much in the way of talking about these little devices. They come in Blue, Red or Yellow and cost a shade over $100 when including 20 prints. However as Fujifilm has shown, there is a huge market for these devices for the instant physical shareability and the in your hands appeal and having a real printed image. From the polariod days of yesteryear, we now have the world of CLIQ and INSTAX. Scott Glibertson of Wired did a short review on the Canon IVY CLIQ. Essentially he found a difference in print tones between the Instax and the Cliq, with the Instax having deeper blacks. Pros; Pocket-friendly. Super simple to shoot. No digital nonsense, but MicroSD if you want to save photos. Cheaper than Instax, per photo. Cons; Image quality is not the best. Zink printing tech lacks blacks. Plastic case feels a little cheap. Tight fit into a pocket. It always prints, whether you want to or not. He concludes; I think that the Canon's Ivy Cliq is good choice if you prefer more traditional prints. The sticker prints are clear enough for most people, and it succeeds in printing your photos in the moment when you want to share them with the people around you.
