Skylum Luminar 3.1.1 released with significant performance gains

Skylum software has announced that Luminar 3.1.1 has released with significant performance gains in the startup of the application with large libraries.

Showing the above graphs with Luminar 3.1.0 to Luminar 3.1.1 we can see that 3.1.1 has significant performance increases especially if your library exists on hard drives and not on SSD's.

Even on SSD's the start up time is nearly 250% faster for 3.1.1

Some of the other improvements are;

  • Both Mac and Windows versions see an easier navigation.
  • You’ll also see an improved launch time when opening up Luminar
  • If you’re on a Mac, you’ll also see a speed boost to the album creation process.
  • Mac users also gain the ability to change the language separate of your system setting
